Again this summer MPC hosted another super fun and successful youth camp. We had 11 aspiring pickleballers aged 9 -13. Coach Brian Bell from Port Elgin joined us to run the sessions. Each participant received an MPC shirt and brand new paddle to keep thanks to a bursary grant from the Municipality of Meaford.
Lots of fun was had learning the basics of the sport through games like Unicorns and Dragons and Kings and Queens and of course there were the ever popular overhead smash drills and the target practice with points tallied all week. Awards and prizes were given out at the end of the week.
We are welcoming many of our youth back for our league night on Thursdays running for the rest of the summer. Special thanks to our volunteers – Tim, Karen, Marnie, Chris and Kristin, we couldn’t have done it without you.
